Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


  1. Vehicle Repairs and Maintenance: (70%)
  • Performs services, diagnosis, repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles
  • Proficient in both gas and diesel applications 
  • Proficient in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Proficient in engines and transmissions, drivelines and clutches, cooling, heating, steering, suspension, brakes, fuel, electrical, exhaust and emissions systems


  1. Budget Management: (15%)
  • Communicates and plans for expenses in the equipment budget
  • Works directly with parts supplies to obtain parts
  • Manages supplies (oils/filters/coolants) and other shop consumables
  • Plans long term equipment replacement with management and helps make business cases
  • Finds savings opportunities with suppliers and in the shop



  1. Other Duties: (15%)
  • Assists with Ag equipment
  • Prepares vehicles for events / special activities
  • Manages DMV registrations and other vehicle certifications / inspections as needed
  • May be needed for vehicle recovery. Including after hours
  • Oversees the care of the classic cars and antique vehicles
  • May perform other maintenance duties in support of the maintenance team as assigned

Job Requirements:


  • Candidate should have 2 years working in an automotive repair shop in an assistant or lead role.
  • Automotive repair training from an accredited 2-year school may partially count as equivalent work experience.
